Meet the croissants that are bursting with personality!

Have you ever bitten into a croissant so hearty, it felt like a full lunch... or even dinner? Our guy friends might raise an eyebrow at the idea, but this croissant shop proves that savoury can be satisfying and gourmet.

Tucked away in central Singapore, this cafe is a dream come true for savoury croissant lovers who’ve struggled to find variety. Here, the humble croissant gets a bold twist, and every croissant 'dish' sounds like a main course.

Meet Croissand Cafe... the brainchild of Chef William Lim and his partner. With over 30 years of experience under his apron, Chef William is a familiar face in Singapore’s culinary world. He’s led kitchens as Executive Chef at Hilton, Grand Park City Hall, and The Warehouse Hotel, and also served as Corporate Chef for Violet Oon.

We tried the Truffle Caviar Wagyu Mince Croissant ($9), and it was solid. The wagyu mince was flavourful, paired with an over-easy egg, emmental, a mix of three cheeses, Japanese sweet sauce, and cucumber. It’s a good mix of rich and fresh, and definitely filling enough for a full meal.

The Pamela’s Pancake Pops ($10) were a nice surprise (and the dish looked even better than its photo). These Danish pancake balls come with prosciutto ham, arugula, melted cheese, cherry tomatoes, and a drizzle of truffle honey. It’s a balanced plate that leans slightly sweet but still feels savoury and satisfying!

For drinks, the Earl Grey Peach Foam ($7) is one of their signature items. It’s an iced shaken Earl Grey peach infusion with a light foam on top! Refreshing, lightly floral, and not overly sweet. Honestly, a nice 'ol contrast to the richer dishes.

If you’re more of a coffee person, the Cafe Latte ($5) is a straightforward, well-made cup. Smooth, balanced, and does the job without fuss o.O

The space is compact, but don’t let that fool you. It’s got an industrial-chic elegance that makes it perfect for a quick bite or a cosy catch-up. If you're in the area and craving a croissant that isn't Delifrance (oops), pop by and give this place a go.
